Support for Koshi flood victims in
Nepal – In response to fundraising appeal made by the
Ambassador of Nepal on 25 August 2008, the Australia Nepal
Friendship Society (ANFS), Canberra, raised $1045 from its
members and friends to contribute to assist in flood relief
activities undertaken by the Government of Nepal. The bank
draft was handed over by Dr. Amarottam Shrestha, ANFS
President to HE Mr. Yogendra Dhakal, Ambassador of Nepal.

Hope for Himalayan Kids Foundation (HHKF)
– HHKF is a Pokhara, Nepal based charity operating
children’s home. Pradip and Anita Adhikari hosted a
fundraising lunch on behalf of the ANFS to raise funds for
HHKF. A cheque of $480 was sent to the foundation’s
